Competition inspires College Students
South Devon College has been successfully
working in partnership with 'Supa Roofing and Power Tools Ltd'
and 'Stanley Hand Tools' to implement an inspiring student of
the month award for the College's Construction Department.
Supa Roofing, based in Kingskerswell, is a roofing business
with a reputation for providing personal professional service
to the building trade and DIY enthusiasts all over Devon.
They are a major supplier of several brands of roofing materials,
power tools and accessories.
Every month Supa Roofing will visit the College to present the
winner of 'student of the month' with a certificate and prize
of high quality tools (to the value of £30).
This month they came to South Devon College to present Carpentry
student James Dawkins, with his award for achieving the title
of 'student of the month'.
Supa Roofing and Stanley Tools will be kindly sponsoring the
award throughout the year and are also providing an overall
prize of £100, a certificate and trophy to the student who achieves
the coveted 'student of the year' award which will be announced
in a presentation held at the College at the end of the academic
year.
The College are looking for more sponsors from employers willing
to help inspire students via similar projects and awards.
